Standard Shipping Note
For non-dangerous goods only. The SSN should accompany deliveries (general cargo, unit load, containerised) from factories or warehouses to inland clearance depots, groupage depots, ports, airports and other cargo terminals.
The SSN must not be used if the delivery includes items classified as hazardous by reference to the relevant national and international regulations applicable to the intended modes of transport.
Dangerous Goods Note
When hazardous goods are transported, the consignment must be accompanied by a document that contains information declaring the nature of the hazards of the goods.
The DGN enables the shipper to complete one standard document for all consignments irrespective of port or inland depot. By doing so, it provides the receiving authority with complete, accurate and timely information as well as providing all those with an interest in the consignment with adequate information at each stage of the transport movement.
C88A Single Administrative Document
Used for the movement of dutiable goods, on which duty has been paid, between premises within the European Community.
CMR International Consignment
A consignment note for movements by road transport. This is a non-negotiable document (as is the air waybill)
I.A.T.A Shippers Declaration
For dangerous goods by air. The IATA Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods, required for certain air cargo shipments, is used to convey the fundamental information relating to the relative hazards of the goods being shipped.
Information reported includes the shipper, consignee, and nature and quantity of dangerous goods, as well as additional or special handling requirements. Available in different formats.
AAD Administrative Accompanying Document
Used for movement of dutiable goods, on which duty has not been paid, between bonded premises within the European Union.
W8 UK Internal Accompanying Document
Used for movement of dutiable goods, on which duty has not been paid, between bonded premises in the United Kingdom only.
Air Waybill
Air consignment note. The air waybill or air consignment note serves as a receipt for goods and an evidence of the contract of carriage. However, this is not a document of title to goods.
The AWB is issued in a set of twelve copies. Copies 1, 2 and 3 of AWB are originals and have the same validity.
